MY PHILOSOPHY OF LEARNING

My teaching and learning philosophy is grounded in the belief that every child is a competent, capable, curious, and rich in potential individual. As an Early Childhood Educator, I view children as active participants in their own learning, and I value the importance of creating environments that support exploration, inquiry, and meaningful engagement. My approach is strongly influenced by play-based learning, which allows children to construct knowledge through hands-on experiences, social interactions, and discovery.

Play-based learning is central to my practice, as it encourages creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Through play, children explore their interests, test ideas, and develop social and emotional skills. As an educator, my role is to observe, listen, and extend children’s learning by providing meaningful materials and experiences that spark curiosity. I use open-ended questions and scaffolding techniques to support children’s thinking and to deepen their understanding of the world around them.

Overall, my goal as an Early Childhood Educator is to create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where all children feel valued and supported. I strive to be a reflective and responsive educator who continuously learns and adapts to meet the needs of every child. By fostering strong relationships, supporting play-based learning, and embracing diversity, I aim to make a meaningful and lasting impact on children’s lives.
